What is Wingman mode in CS2?
A 2v2 format played on the official half-roster maps: one site to take or hold, short rounds and fast decisions. UpFrag adds a 3v3 variant.
What is the difference between Wingman 2v2 and 3v3?
In 2v2 every lost duel costs you immediately, since only two players hold the site. 3v3 adds a player, so one more angle and real executes, while staying far shorter than a full 5v5.
Does Wingman raise the same rank as 5v5?
Yes. A single Glicko-2 rating covers every UpFrag mode: points earned in wingman count exactly like points earned in 5v5.
Do you need to install anything to play Wingman on UpFrag?
No. Matches run on UpFrag's dedicated servers and the anti-cheat works entirely server-side. You sign in with Steam, and the button to join the server appears on the match page.
