Up-ACThe CS2 anticheat by UpFrag

Live protection during your Counter-Strike 2 matches, in-depth analysis once they end. Nothing to install, no monitoring of your machine. Everything happens on our servers, from the match itself.

01 · In brief

Why Up-AC exists.

On UpFrag your matches really count. Your rank, your UpCoins and your skins depend on them. A single cheater can distort a match and cost you a win, a ranking or a stake. Our job is simple: make sure that does not happen.

Up-AC is UpFrag's anti-cheat system. It watches every match in real time, then replays each match in detail once it is over, to catch what escapes the human eye. The obvious cheater falls during the match. The discreet one falls during analysis.

One essential point from the start: Up-AC asks you to install no software, never looks at your screen and does not search your computer. We only analyse the match as the server recorded it. For you, protection is completely invisible: you just play.

02 · Two protection phases

A match protected start to finish.

Up-AC acts at two complementary moments. During the match it intercepts the obvious in real time. After the match it hunts the subtle, with no time pressure.

VERDICT

Fig. 1 - The two detection phases across a match

Live

While you play

Up-AC watches the match continuously on our servers and picks up the most blatant behaviour as it happens. A dedicated module inspects what only a live server can see: the integrity of the commands your game sends. Some checks, however, require the full replay - which is exactly why there is a second phase.

After the match

Where the real work begins

At the end of the match, Up-AC replays the whole game moment by moment, from each player's point of view. This is where subtle cheats are caught - the ones no human would see in a single match. Most of the detection happens here, free from real-time constraints.

03 · How it works

Several layers, one promise.

Up-AC's strength does not come from one miracle test, but from several independent layers that take over from one another. None is perfect alone. Together they leave very little room for cheating.

01

At the door

Before the match even starts, we check each account's reputation and limit throwaway accounts created only to cheat.

02

Live

Monitoring of the most obvious signs during the match, including checks on the integrity of what your game sends to the server.

03

After the match

In-depth analysis of the match as recorded by the server, behaviour by behaviour, with no computation time limit.

04

Over time

We cross-reference your matches with one another. A discreet cheater always gives themselves away over the long run, where a single match is not enough to conclude.

05

Decision

No sanction is automatic on mere suspicion. An evidence file is built, then verified before any significant measure.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT · every match strengthens the system

03b · Under the hood

What the analysis actually does.

For the curious, here is how the post-match analysis reasons - without giving away what would help anyone get around it.

A neural model on every kill

A transformer examines around forty measurements per instant in the moments surrounding each kill - aim, movement, visibility, weapon - and returns a probability.

Calibrated map by map

The same value does not mean the same thing on two different maps. Each map has its own reference for clean play, which is what stops a strong player from being flagged on a noisy map.

Compared against a clean corpus

Around 1,150 games from clean players - including matches from a professional Major - serve as the yardstick. A player is placed by their rank within that corpus, never by a raw score.

Evidence that accumulates

One match proves nothing. Evidence builds up from match to match: a regular cheater converges within a few games, an exceptional player never does - and that is measured, not assumed.

A second, independent model

A different family of model prioritises the review queue and, above all, explains what makes a player atypical - so a human reviewer knows where to look.

Sudden profile changes

A player whose behaviour changes abruptly mid-season - a cheat bought, an account sold - stands out against their own history, not against anyone else's.

Proof first, then evidence, then triage. Movements impossible by hand, shots through smoke or aim too smooth to be human count as proof. Statistics only ever accumulate evidence. The neural model never sanctions on its own - it prioritises.

04 · Proof before sanction

We never ban at random.

Our rule fits in one sentence: better to let a doubt pass than to sanction an honest player. The whole system is tuned that way. Suspicion is never enough.

Graduated sanction

Appeal available - challenge it and another person re-examines the file

Fig. 3 - From signal to decision, with a right of appeal on every sanction

Proof first

Every report comes with a replayable file showing precisely the suspect moments. No black box: the decision rests on verifiable facts.

Cross-referencing for subtle cases

A discreet cheat is not concluded on a single match. Evidence accumulates across matches until it becomes certain - or until it fades away.

Human eyes before any heavy sanction

The machine proposes, the human decides. A team member checks the file before a ban is issued.

Graduated sanctions

From a warning to a permanent ban, depending on how serious the cheat is and how certain we are. The response is always proportionate.

A right of appeal

If you are sanctioned and disagree, your file is re-examined by someone other than the person who decided.

05 · Privacy & commitments

What we touch, what we do not.

Unlike many anti-cheats, Up-AC does not live on your computer. It works entirely on our servers, from the data the match generates anyway.

What we analyse

  • Positions, shots and actions recorded by the server during the match
  • The flow of the match, moment by moment, server-side
  • Your match history on UpFrag, for cross-referencing

What we never do

  • Install monitoring software on your machine
  • Watch or capture your screen
  • Access your files, your browser or your other applications
  • Sell or hand over your data to anyone

Our commitments to you

Transparency

We explain our approach without ever handing out what would allow it to be circumvented.

Proportionality

The sanction always matches the seriousness and the level of certainty.

Recourse

Every decision can be challenged and re-examined by another person.

Respect

We do not touch your machine and we do not sell your data.

Play. We handle the rest.

Every player checked. Every match analysed. Every decision human.

Frequently asked

What players ask

Is Up-AC a kernel-level anti-cheat?

No. Nothing is installed on your machine and nothing touches your system. The analysis runs entirely on UpFrag's servers, from what the server records of the match.

What exactly does Up-AC see of my match?

The positions, shots and actions recorded by the server, plus the match timeline moment by moment. Never your screen, your files, your browser or your other applications.

Can you be banned automatically by mistake?

A single signal never triggers a sanction on its own. An evidence file is built, cross-checked across several matches, then reviewed by a person before any serious sanction. Every decision can be appealed and re-examined by someone else.

How many matches are analysed?

All of them. Every match played on UpFrag is monitored live during play, then replayed in full once it ends.
